Statistics & Privacy (bStats)

EasyMenu 7.0.2 sends anonymous usage statistics to bStats.

ItemDetails
Plugin that sends statisticsEasyMenu only
bStats Plugin ID33626
DisablingPossible through bStats' standard config file (below)
NegiLib does not send statistics

Neither the NegiLib plugin itself nor the NegiLib Geyser Velocity companion for Velocity implements bStats at this time. NegiLib sends no statistics. EasyMenu merely includes "which NegiLib version is loaded" in its own statistics.

What Is Sent

Standard bStats Statistics

This is what the bStats library sends by default (EasyMenu 7.0.2 uses bstats-bukkit 3.2.1).

ItemDetails
serverUuidA random ID bStats generates per server and stores in plugins/bStats/config.yml. It is not a player UUID.
playerAmountNumber of online players
onlineModeWhether the server is in online mode
bukkitVersion / bukkitNameServer version and software name (Paper, Purpur, ...)
javaVersionJava version
osName / osArchOperating system name and architecture
pluginVersionEasyMenu version

For other details (such as core count, which can change with the library version), follow the explanation on the bStats website.

EasyMenu's Custom Statistics (6 charts)

EasyMenu adds the six statistics below. The values are fixed buckets or yes/no answers, not precise numbers.

Chart nameContentPossible values
online_player_bucketBucket of current online players0 / 1-5 / 6-20 / 21-50 / 51-100 / 101-250 / 251+
max_player_capacityBucket of the server's max players1-10 / 11-30 / 31-100 / 101-300 / 301-1000 / 1001+
menu_countBucket of loaded menus0 / 1 / 2-5 / 6-10 / 11-25 / 26-50 / 51+
negilib_versionLoaded NegiLib versione.g. 1.1.1
dialog_supportWhether the server supports Native Dialogssupported / unsupported
geyser_detectedWhether Geyser-Spigot is enabledyes / no

geyser_detected only checks for the Geyser-Spigot plugin on the same server. In a Velocity setup (Geyser-Velocity) the backend cannot detect it, so the value is no.

What Is Not Sent

EasyMenu's custom statistics do not collect or send the following (as stated in EasyMenu's README). The menu count is only sent as a fixed bucket.

  • Player names or UUIDs
  • Server addresses (IP, hostname)
  • Menu contents (titles, items, lore, ...)
  • Commands or chat contents

How to Turn It Off

bStats statistics are disabled in bStats' own standard config file, not in EasyMenu's settings.

  1. Stop the server.
  2. Open plugins/bStats/config.yml. It is generated automatically the first time a plugin that uses bStats starts.
  3. Set enabled to false.
plugins/bStats/config.yml
enabled: false
  1. Start the server.
  • This setting applies to every plugin on the server that uses bStats. There is no way to disable only EasyMenu.
  • Disabling it does not affect EasyMenu's features.
  • If bStats cannot be started, EasyMenu logs a warning and keeps running without statistics.
How the data is handled

Submitted data is aggregated and published by the bStats service. How bStats handles privacy follows bStats' own policies.
